The Krima (type KSR) screw press is a highly developed unit with both a pneumatically controllable back-pressure cone and a tapered screw core. The pneumatic system provides easy means for controlling the back-pressure to achieve the required solids content.
The Krima type RR screw press is particularly well-suited for dewatering following an inclined Dewaterer or other primary dewatering. The inlet consistency should be at least 3% and the press gives an outlet pulp consistency of up to 35%.
Features and Benefits:
- Good dewatering and uniform discharge consistency due to thin pulp cake
- Blockage free discharge due to pneumatic counter pressure plate
- Low wear due to low operation speed
- Low wear on screw flanges due to wear discs
- Good accessibility during maintenance due to horizontally split screen baskets and a screw with dismountable drive shaft
- The screen baskets of the press have good accessibility for inspection and cleaning due to the external covers that can be dismantled easily by hand
