High Quality, German Engineered Pumps:
There are many different technical options for the pumps supplied by L&M, which help to fulfil a variety of different customer requirements. For example, pumps can come with a number of different impeller types, such as vortex impeller, open and closed impellers, semi-open impellers and vacuum impellers. The type of impeller will depend on the medium and the process. These centrifugal pumps also come with different lubrication options such as grease, oil or self-priming.
Pumps can be supplied with additional features, or simply supplied as bare-shafted. The scope of supply can include motor, baseplate and couplings - depending on your requirements. One of the special features of L&M’s centrifugal pumps is the option of including an adjustable wear plate, designed to improve pump efficiency. This wear plate has three screws which pull or push it closer or further from the impeller. This is operated form the outside of the pump. As the impeller and the wear plate wear, they become further apart (making the pump less efficient). The adjustable wear plate solves this problem by allowing the operator to bring the impeller and wear plate closer together when needed.
Pumps are offered in different material types, the standard being duplex stainless steel. Due to the poor quality of cat iron, pumps are no longer offered in this material. Super Duplex and other types of stainless steel are available upon request and are subject to availability. Higher material grades provided long term cost savings, as they often increase the longevity of the pump and its integral parts.
